Another installment of Classroom Champions is in southern Saskatchewan Tuesday.
A panel of Olympic and Paralympic athletes will speak online with participating kids throughout the world on the importance of perseverance, share personal stories and encourage students to chase their dreams.
In southern Saskatchewan there are several schools which participate in the Classroom Champions programs, and they are particularly excited about the event.
One of the athletes taking part is US Olympic Gold Medalist & Classroom Champions President and C.E.O Steve Mesler.
- Weyburn Sask. students are Classroom Champs, thanks to unique program.
- Young Saskatchewan students get incredible opportunity through Classroom Champions
Mesler says it’s all about giving athletes a platform to communicate with young people around the province.
“We started Classroom Champions because – one of the main things we wanted to give athletes and Olympians and Paralympians a platform to connect with kids, not just have their name on something, but to actually make connections.”
Students taking part can do so over a free webinar Tuesday. They are encourage to use the hashtag #BetterGetsBetter on social media.
