Souls Harbour is hoping to make some people’s lives a little easier, and happier over the Christmas season this year.
The charity organization announced their Christmas initiatives for this year, which includes gift donations, financial and in-kind donations, and the Christmas meal which takes place this weekend.
Deana Struble, Marketing Manager for Souls Harbour, says there is still a need for food donations.
“We’ve got our Christmas meal coming up this Friday, December 22,” Struble says. “We’re expecting to feed about 450 people. We’re still looking for food donations like ham, potatoes and vegetables.”
Struble says there are plenty of kids who would benefit from gift donations this year.
“We have our daycare which has 60 children,” Struble said. “We have children staying here at our Shayil Home and we are looking for new or like-new gifts. All donations — gifts and food — can be dropped off at 1836 Halifax Street.”
Struble also says donations received Tuesday or Wednesday would be greatly appreciated so they can be organized before the Christmas weekend.
