Our shopping was done quite a while ago, but there are always things that need to be picked up here and there. My wife and I had to pick up some of those things Saturday before we made our way to our Christmas supper in Craven. We got an early jump on things. We knew that one of the stores we planned on shopping at opened up at 7:30 and we were there 5 minutes after it opened. Talk about having a free run of the store. It was beautiful. Only a couple of other cars in the parking lot. Gotta love it!
We had four places that we wanted to stop at and it worked out perfectly. We had everything we needed and were back home by 9. Shopping is a whole lot more enjoyable when your not fighting for parking spots or going elbow to elbow with other shoppers. My wife didn’t get cross with me once!
Sunday morning after co-hosting our MS Musical Christmas Card with Ray Allan, I thought I’d make a quick stop by the car wash on the way home and give my vehicle a much needed bath. Unfortunately, the car wash wasn’t as empty as the stores seemed to be the previous day. As a matter of fact, I couldn’t find an available bay! Every one was packed two-deep and I didn’t really feel like hanging out for 15 minutes waiting for my turn. I’ll do it sometime this week. I know for a fact that it’s not a really busy place at 10 A.M. on a weekday.
Some words of advice for those who still have shopping to do or want their vehicle washed this weekend. You might want to get both done as early as possible.
