SGI is warning people to make sure all your documents are in order before firing up their vehicles.
Nearly 400 people were caught driving without a valid license or abiding by license restrictions.
SGI Spokesperson Tyler McMurchy says there’s no reason for motorists to not have a operational license.
“There really isn’t a good excuse,” says McMurchy. “Understandably, people do make mistakes, people do forget sometimes. We recommend that if you feel you are a forgetful person, maybe put a reminder in your phone when your vehicles plates are about to expire.”
McMurchy says if you’re caught driving without a proper license and/or registration, you’ll be fined $580.
Do it again, your car will be impounded for a week.
