Two people are facing charges after an incident early Friday morning.
Police say they were sent to assist the fire department with a house fire on the 1600 block of Rae Street around 4 AM. Upon arrival, they learned the fire had been put out by the homeowners, but the remains of a broken molotov cocktail were found outside the home.
Investigators determined a 34 year old man and a 31 year old man were in a dispute with a woman that resulted in her being forced into a car. The woman managed to escape when the pair stopped at an off-sale location by hailing a cab. The two men followed the cab to find out where the woman was dropped off before leaving and returning with the Molotov cocktail. A first attempt at throwing that at the home failed so a second one was thrown with that attempt being successful in lighting the home on fire.
Both were found a short distance away and taken into custody.
Randy Dyck and Kenneth Dyck are facing numerous charges including arson and forcible confinement.
