This arctic blast we are experiencing across the entire province isn’t leaving anytime soon according to Environment Canada.
The weather office’s John Paul Cragg says believe it or not, we haven’t experienced the worst of it yet.
“The forecast shows temperatures getting well down into the minus 30’s and close to the minus 40 mark for a large portion of the province Friday night and moving into Saturday morning.
Cragg says looking long-term, the weather models say a warm-up will occur in the first week of January, but when that exactly will happen can’t be determined at this time.
He says that warm-up will bring to us to temperatures close to average for this time of year which is around minus 10 for a daytime high.
