Regina Police are warning people of the dangers of leaving vehicles unattended while they warm up.
RPS say they receive numerous calls this time of year reporting stolen vehicles which were left running and unlocked, and hope people take some preventative action.
Regina Police are advising the public to lock their vehicle when not in use, and to never leave vehicles unlocked or with the keys left inside.
Police also say those with garage door openers should bring them inside rather than leaving it in the vehicle.
Also any spare change or valuables should be hidden from sight to prevent theft.
As with any crime, if there is suspicious activity residents are advised to dial 9-1-1 or the Regina Police directly.
