The Regina Pats have made their third trade since the WHL Christmas break as they look to bolster their roster in advance of the Memorial Cup.
The team announced Saturday afternoon they have acquired 18 year old forward Austin Pratt from the Red Deer Rebels for a 3rd round pick in the 2019 bantam draft—one that had originally been acquired from the team in the trade that brought Josh Mahura to Regina last season.
Pratt (6’3, 205) is playing in his third season in the Western Hockey League. So far this season, the Lakeville, Minnesota product has scored seven goals and has nine assists for 16 points in 39 games. Over his 165 game career, Pratt has put up 31 goals and 31 assists. His best season came in 2016-17 when he scored 16 goals and had 34 points in 70 games.
The Pats go in search of their 5th straight win on Saturday night when they visit Swift Current in a game that can be heard on 620 CKRM starting at 7.
