Saskatoon is the lone Canadian city to be featured in a New York Times list of the top 52 places in the world to visit in 2018.
The Saskatchewan city was selected primarily because of the new Remai Modern Museum and its eight-thousand-work collection.
Saskatoon Mayor Charlie Clark trumpeted the article on his Twitter feed, writing “Welcome World! Come for the art, stay for the people.”
The top destination on the list is New Orleans.
