Two people, a 27 year old woman and a 34 year old man, were in court Friday facing a total of 46 charges following an incident earlier this week that started in Regina/
Regina police say a woman called RCMP last Sunday claiming she had been kidnapped at gunpoint from a home in the city and tied to a fence post on a grid road near Francis by a man and woman that she knew.
The woman managed to free herself and flagged down a motorist who took her to safety.
Investigators clarified the details of the victim’s story and an investigation led to the arrest of two people from a residence in the 700 block Pasqua Street on Tuesday A search of that home yielded a sawed-off, loaded .22 calibre semi-automatic rifle, ammunition, an airsoft handgun, identification belonging to the victim and a stolen credit card.
Allyson Bachiu and Jamie Miller are facing a multitude of charges including kidnapping, robbery, uttering threats and weapons offences.
