The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed Steve Walsh as their quarterbacks coach for next season.
Walsh spent the last season with the Toronto Argonauts organization in a Senior Assistant role.
Before that, Walsh was the director of Football at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, and a six-year stint as head coach at Cardinal Newman High School in Florida, which has produced five NFL football players.
Before his coaching career, Walsh played his college football with the University of Miami, leading the Hurricanes to a NCAA title in 1987, and finished his college career with a 23-1 mark.
He was then drafted in the first-round by the Dallas Cowboys in the 1989 draft.
Walsh then went on to play 11 season for the Cowboys, New Orleans Saints, Chicago Bears, St. louis Rams, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Indianapolis Colts.
Walsh takes over for Jarious Jackson, who accepted an offensive coordinator/QB coach role with the BC Lions.
