The Regina Pats and Saskatoon Blades will battle one another for the last time this season Friday night at SaskTel Centre.
It is Game 2 of an eight game road trip for John Paddock’s crew as they have had to abandon the Brandt Centre because of the Tim Hortons Brier which begins in one week’s time.
A Regina victory would be their 4th straight. They go into the game sitting three points ahead of Brandon for 3rd place in the WHL’s Eastern Division.
One of the big reasons for the Pats solid play has been the play in net of Max Paddock. The Brandon product went 4-1-0-1 in six starts over 10 days, stopping 174 of 188 shots for a .926 save percentage and a 2.30 goals against average. Overall, he holds the eighth best G.A.A. in the WHL at 3.02.
Not a lot has separated the two teams this year as Regina comes in with a 2-2-2-1 record against their provincial foes.
620 CKRM will have the game for you starting at 7 o’clock.
