In a game that had a playoff feel to it, the Moose Jaw Warriors knocked off the Regina Pats Saturday night at a sold-out Mosaic Place by a score of 3-2.
Moose Jaw had a 3-0 lead at one point, but goals by Jesse Gabrielle in the second and Robbie Holmes in the third made it interesting at the end.
The loss, which ended a four-game Regina win streak, leaves the team sitting with a record of 33-25-5-1. They will have all week off before getting back on the ice next Saturday night when they continue an eight-game road trip with a stop in Calgary versus the Hitmen.
The game was the last between the two Highway 1 rivals in the regular season, but there is a chance they could meet one another in the WHL playoffs with the Warriors hoping they can join the Pats as the two WHL teams at the Mastercard Memorial Cup in May which goes at the Brandt Centre.
