The heavy snow is wreaking havoc on motorists in Regina, and is also causing delays and cancellations at the Regina International Airport.
James Bogusz is the President and CEO of the Regina Airport Authority, and says visibility and heavy accumulation on runways has been the main concern.
“Crews have been working around the clock,” he said. “We look to keep our runways and taxis open, but obviously, as a result of the massive accumulation of snow here at the airport, and when it snows, there’s very reduced visibility for aircrafts landing here at the airport.
Bogusz says those cancellations are continuing into Monday, adding this morning they had four more along with numerous delays.
