There is machinery everywhere, from city crews to private contractors, from the main streets to the parking lots. The city’s lit up like Luna Park! Hats off to all of the people out there working very hard while we sleep to make things a whole lot easier when we wake up and try to navigate our way to work.
Our side street is still a tough one to get through. You don’t want to have to stop for anything just in case you can’t get moving again. That happened to my wife yesterday when she went to take a corner just off our street. She found herself blocked by, of all things, a tow truck that was pulling a car out of the alley. She stopped and couldn’t get going again. And she has a four-wheel drive!
Fortunately, our neighbours were there to answer the call and get her on her way. Thanks to J.D., Amanda, and her husband Willie.
We do have the best neighbours a guy could ask for and we all seem to be chipping in to help each other out a little more than usual over the course of the last few days.
