A 16-year-old Yorkton girl has pleaded guilty to Uttering Threats, in connection with a Snapchat post.
The post, which was sent Tuesday night, showed the image of a handgun, and suggested that some students shouldn’t attend the Yorkton Regional High School Wednesday.
The girl, who can’t be named due to her age, later sent another post, saying it was just a joke, and was a photo of her brother’s lighter and laser pointer.
She was arrested nonetheless, and in Yorkton Provincial Court Wednesday morning, she received an 8-month conditional discharge.
That means if she abides by her probation conditions for that time period, she won’t have a criminal record.
