While the curling season is winding down for another year, curling fans in Saskatchewan will have two opportunities to see the game’s best on display next season.
The Grand Slam of Curling announced its 2018-19 dates on Thursday and they show events being held in North Battleford and Saskatoon.
The Canadian Open will go March 8-13 in North Battleford with the season ending Champions Cup being contested in Saskatoon April 23-28 at the brand new Merlis Belsher Place on the campus of the University of Saskatchewan.
This year’s Canadian Open went in Camrose with Peter De La Cruz of Switzerland and Calgary’s Chelsea Carey winning while the Champions Cup will go in Calgary April 24-29.
Add these two events to the 2019 Canadian Junior Curling Championships in Prince Albert and Saskatchewan curling fans will have another year at seeing some of the best in the game competing up close.
