As many of you know, Lewis and Evans were broadcasting their morning show from the Hospitals of Regina Foundation grand prize show home yesterday morning (March 22). I came in for the morning show as well to help operate it and to answer any calls that may come in. It was a lot of fun despite the 3:45 a.m. wake up call! Here’s what I learned not to do after work. Don’t buy groceries!
Here’s what happened. After the morning show, I hosted my show which goes until 1 p.m. After completing a few things around the station I took off for home….and I was starving because I had breakfast at 4 a.m.. First off, never shop for groceries while hungry. You pick up some really weird and unhealthy items that you normally wouldn’t get. Secondly, never unpack groceries while hungry because you have one thing in mind….food!
What happened? Well, I managed to put rice in the freezer, cans of soup and the bathroom medicine cabinet, and I nearly put a box of toothpaste in the kitchen pantry. It was the toothpaste that triggered the question “what the hell am I doing!?
So what do we do when we make an epic screw up like this nowadays? We take pictures! Eventually I placed everything back to where it was supposed to go. The soup and rice went into the pantry and the toothpaste went into the medicine cabinet. I hope this story has highlighted the dangers of unpacking on an empty stomach.
