U of R Rams running back Atlee Simon has no complaints about how things went this past weekend for him at the CFL combine in Winnipeg.
Simon, who is going into his 5th and final year of eligibility with the Rams, believes he held his own on the drills and performance, but the highlight for him was the one-on-one interaction with the various teams that he had.
“I enjoyed meeting all the teams. the coaches and the GM’s.” Simon said Monday. “I think I connected very well with the teams and that was the best thing out of the weekend.”
As far as to whether or not his stock might have improved after the weekend, Simon is optimistic that his performance did raise some eyebrows
“I think I showed my versatility a lot in the one-0n-one drills”. Simon stated. “Showing that versatility I hope will raise my draft stock.”
Simon must now wait until May 3 when the CFL draft is held to see what team if any will give him the opportunity to take his game to the next level.
He is confident on draft day that his phone will ring as he attempts to become the latest Ram to become a CFL player.
