It’s now a best-of-three series.
After being frustrated by Stuart Skinner in a Game 3 loss Monday, the Pats chased Skinner from the net Wednesday in a 6-3 victory to even their Eastern Conference quarterfinal series with the Broncos at 2.
Regina got on the board early as Cameron Hebig potted his 3rd just 2:28 into the game with Emil Oksanen adding another at 9:56 on the power-play.
While Swift Current cut the deficit to one six minutes int0 the 2nd on a power-play goal by Glenn Gawdin, the Pats took control scoring three times in four minutes with Jared Legien, Libor Hajek and Jake Leschyshyn scoring which resulted in the Broncos replacing Skinner with Joel Hofer taking over.

Swift Current made the sold-out crowd at the Brandt Centre somewhat anxious as they closed the gap to 5-3, but Leschyshyn’s second of the night into an empty net in the dying moments ended any thoughts of a comeback.
Legien says the difference between Game 3 and Game 4 was the fact his team knew they would really be behind the eight-ball if they didn’t come out on top.
“We were a little desperate coming in, and that’s how we have to play.” Legien said. “We just got back to playing the way we did at the end of the season when we were getting some wins so that is the way we need to play moving forward.”
Head Coach John Paddock says the Legien goal was a big one that turned the momentum back Regina’s way and put them in charge.
“That was certainly a big goal,” Paddock said. “To restore that two-goal lead took the wind out of their sails a little bit.”
Game 5 of the series will go Friday in Swift Current with Game 6 back at the Brandt Centre Saturday at 7.
