Happy Easter Weekend.
When it comes to Easter, I love travelling but lately I haven’t been able to do the road trip! And sometimes it works in reverse because people come home.
The weekend might best be spent doing some spring cleaning. While it doesn’t appear like spring is coming – it will so best be ready!
I’ve got t-shirts that can be shifted and many small pieces of paper to be destroyed, dishes to wash and a fridge to clean out. If the weather gets nice a walk or two around the lake or to the Y. But the one thing that is a must is collecting books, DVD’s & CD’s for a Book Sale at the Royal Canadian Legion Regina Branch 001.
Last night I was sworn in as a Vice President of our Regina Branch. Now I am tasked with what is becoming an Open House with a Book Sale associated. There will be opportunities to view the Museum, enjoy the Vimy Lounge and check out the Dieppe Cafe. There have been many changes to the Legion in downtown Regina. There’s Karaoke tonight (Thursday) and coming up next month the 1st and 3rd Friday of the month.
At the April Open House, we will launch, for the first time a cash calendar. It will be available for $20 during our Open House. What a great way to support your Legion.
The Ladies Auxiliary will have raffle tickets, plus the opportunity to purchase your Legion membership for $60.
So, if you are clearing out your book shelf this weekend how about setting aside a box of books for the Legion’s Book Sale.
It will be held at 1820 Cornwall Street on April 21st (our time will be determined by next week).
