The Regina Pats beat the Swift Current Broncos in last year’s playoffs taking Game 7 at the Brandt Centre. The Broncos look to return the favour on Monday night on home ice.
The Credit Union I-Plex is expected to be sold out and then some as the two teams finish off what has been a back-and-forth first round matchup that has seen the Broncos win Games 1, 3 and 5 with Regina winning 2,4 and 6 including Saturday’s 7-2 win.
“It’s going to be fun,” forward Matt Bradley said after Game 6. “Their fans will be going, but we will try to do what we did on Saturday and control the play. We don’t want to lose and be practicing for 40 days.”
Head Coach John Paddock says Game 7 will be one his team will be ready for and that success will come if one thing happens.
“We’re not going to win without playing 60 minutes,” Paddock said. “We have to stay out of the penalty box as I think that improves our chances a lot.”
