A Regina man is facing a number of charges in relation to a dangerous driving incident.
On Tuesday morning just before 3:00 AM, a Nissan Pathfinder was observed by patrol officers travelling at high speeds over 100 kilometers an hour.
Just before 4:00 AM, when the vehicle was found on 7th avenue near Wallace street, with the driver asleep inside.
After a resistance from the suspect, the man was brought in to custody. Further investigation revealed the vehicle and the licence plate the man was using was stolen, and the man was heavily intoxicated.
36 year-old Jason Tanner is facing seven charges, including possession of a scheduled substance, driving while impaired, resisting arrest, and possession of stolen property over 5000 dollars.
Tanner made his first court appearance Monday afternoon.
