Regina’s Canadian Western Agribition is reporting a profit of 270 thousand dollars for the past year.
Agribition c.e.o. Chris Lane says the profit is down from the previous year.
Last year, Agribition had a 736 thousand dollar profit.
But Lane says Agribition provided one million dollars for the new International Trade Centre and is contributing half a million dollars to upgrade facilities at Evraz Place.
Lane says last fall’s show set a number of records including 2 million dollars in purebred cattle sales, 365 international buyers from 86 countries and the highest-ever operating revenue of 4.6 million dollars.
He says a new feature for the 2018 show will be an after-party cabaret in the Brandt Centre following the final rodeo performance Saturday night.
Agribition runs November 19th to 24th in Regina.
