Spring camp for the U of R Rams goes this Saturday and Sunday (April 7, 8) as Head Coach Steve Bryce and his staff put a number of guys through the paces.
Bryce said he is very happy with the recruiting class they have had this year, adding it was a nice combination of local talent, depth and need.
“It is, when we’re looking at our local recruiting number one is we want the best players that are available in Regina bar none,” Bryce said.
“Outside of that we also want to go and find our needs, if we have a specific need we call it “cherry pick”, when we take kids from out of province and even junior teams,” Bryce added.
This recruiting class was also considered to be one of the top ones in Canada this year. Bryce says there are some who will likely end up playing at the next level so he is excited to see what they can do as they begin the next chapter of their football lives.
Everything will be happening at the Credit Union Eventplex, but if you want to see it you’ll have to get up bright and early.
With the WCP Cup going on, the camp goes from 6-10 AM.
