The playoff series between the Moose Jaw Warriors and Swift Current Broncos is delivering what was expected.
Tuesday in Moose Jaw, the two teams went at it in Game 3 with Moose Jaw prevailing 4-3 in overtime on Brett Howden’s 2nd goal of the game. It gives Moose Jaw a 2-1 lead in the series with Game 4 scheduled for Wednesday night in Swift Current

Elsewhere, the Brandon Wheat Kings are writing the same script they did in Round 1. After losing the first two in Lethbridge, the Wheat Kings bounced back on home ice in Game 3 to take a 5-4 win. Stelio Matheos had four points in the win for Brandon who will try to even things up Wednesday.
In the West, the Tri-Cities Americans continue to be unscathed in the playoffs. They made it seven straight with a 6-5 victory over Victoria giving them a 3-0 lead in the series. Morgan Geekie had his second hat trick of the playoffs, finishing with four points while captain Michael Rasmussen added a goal and three assist s. Jake Bean had a five-assist performance. The Royals did make a frantic comeback as they trailed 5-0 at one point, but could not get the equalizer they needed. They look to stay alive on Wednesday.
Everett took a 2-1 lead on Portland with a 6-2 win. Carter Hart stopped 40 of 42 shots sent his way as the Silvertips take a 2-1 lead in the series.
