The Regina Pats re-convened for the first time Thursday, after their first round exit in the WHL Playoffs.
The thoughts of the team are obviously centred around the tragedy in Humboldt last week.
Head Coach John Paddock said there is a direct connection between his team and the team that was decimated in last week’s tragic bus crash.
“Players all have connections, some far more than others, to with the people that were involved in the accident,” Paddock said.
“We’re going to be doing some work with them, not us per-say but we’re going to have work done for our whole group,” he added.
Broncos goaltender Jacob Wassermann, spent a significant amount of time with the Pats during the last few weeks of the regular season, he was one of the 13 injured on the bus last Friday.
Paddock made the statements after the team’s first of many practices leading up to their first game at the Memorial Cup on May 18.
