On Friday, it will be two weeks since everything changed in Humboldt.
On April 6, a bus carrying the Humboldt Broncos SJHL team was hit by a tractor-trailer unit at the intersections of Highway 5 and 335 as the team was heading to Nipawin for a playoff game. 16 were killed with another 13 injured.
Six of the 13 players who were injured remain in hospital–two in critical condition, but on Thursday one left to go to Calgary.
Defenceman Ryan Strachnitzki, who will turn 19 on Friday was paralyzed from the chest down as a result of the accident. He was flown to Calgary on Thursday morning and was admitted to Foothills Hospital where he will continue his recovery.
The Saskatchewan Health Authority are not saying what players remain hospitalized and who is in critical condition.
