The pilot of a twin-engine plane managed to bring the aircraft in for a safe landing Wednesday morning on a Calgary street.
All six people aboard are fine and police say they don’t have any reports of drivers having to swerve to miss the plane.
Fortunately traffic was light on 36th Street at 6 a.m. local time.
The pilot had radioed that the plane, which was coming in from Medicine Hat, was running low on fuel on approach to Calgary airport.
The stretch of road where the plane landed is about five kilometers from a runway at the airport.
