With the recent stretch of warm weather that has been received, the city of Regina says most athletic fields and baseball diamonds will be ready to go on Monday, April 30.
The city says Pacer Park, on Tower Road, will open on May 7 with nine of the fourteen diamonds available. Seven are for baseball and the other two are for slo-pitch.
Other areas that won’t be opening on Monday include the four fastball diamonds at Rambler Park, Currie Field, and Kaplan Park.
The Massey Park East Athletic field will not be opening until May 21.
As has been the case for the past few years, the city says crews will look at the condition of fields and diamonds on a daily basis and provide an update by 3 pm during the week and by 8 am on the weekends by going to their website.
