The wind just keeps blowing your garbage into that guy’s yard! (sigh) What do you do? (Some might leave it there – eye sore.)
First, pick the trash out of your fence or the tree-line then start cleaning up the yard. This might even encourage your neighbour(s) to do the same! Imagine a clean community, town, sub-division, city!
This province seems to have taken the wind out of the sails of say, Lethbridge – noted for its wind. Maybe the increase in wind days is part of global warming. Yes, there is such a thing. I actual do think Dr. David Suzuki knows what he’s talking about!
Have you noticed, people are excited when a portion of the day is wind-free! How can this be??
As I walk to work, I notice how much trash has been caught up in low lying bushes and high grass. How much time does it take to clean this stuff up. A pair of gloves, one of those grabbers or the stick with a nail, remember those!! Grab the garbage bags and away you go – CLEANING UP the neighbourhood.
The city crews and road crews are out. People that have adopted portions of highways are working the ditches, collecting trash and bottles. 4H will soon be out wearing their bright vests.
Consider helping in your own community – maybe even organize a day to pick up trash. Again, wear enclosed shoes, gloves and even long sleeved shirts and full leg pants. Protect yourself and do Mother Nature a solid. You are leading by example, sometimes that is the easiest way.
