Seeding has started across parts of southern Saskatchewan.
The regional crop specialist in Weyburn, Sherri Roberts, says farmers across a wide area of the southern grainbelt have started spring planting.
She says she saw seeding underway across a wide part of the southern grainbelt during the past week.
Roberts estimates seeding as high as 10 percent in parts of the southeast.
She says early crops include durum and peas, as well as fertilizer application.
