For the second time, Dwayne Prystupa has won a grand prize show home, this time with the Hospitals of Regina Home Lottery.
He and his family have supported the HRF home lottery since 2010, and are still undecided if they will keep their newly-aquired house in the Creeks.
Prystupa says he and his family will continue to support the lottery going forward.
“What it comes down to is you want to support it (because) it’s a great cause,” Prystupa says. “There’s always the chance of winning, but we figured ‘we won once, we’re never going to win again,’ but you want to keep supporting these go to. That’s what we do it for, and lightning struck twice.”
Daniel McKee won this year’s 50/50 add-on, which was over $409,000.
President and CEO of the Hospitals of Regina Foundation Dino Sophocleous says this will provide much-needed equipment.
“We committed $5 Million, and $3.6 Million of that commitment will support therapeutic and diagnostic imaging needs in Regina’s hospitals,” Sophocleous says. “It specifically means that we will be investing in two new ultrasound machines, a new CT scanner, a refurbished MRI, and a brand new interventional radiology suite.”
All prize winners will be announced on the hospitals of Regina home lottery website on May 10th.
