Robbery charges have been laid by Regina Police on a couple believed to be involved in the violent assault of a Regina taxi driver in April.
Nineteen-year-old Tristan Pinder and 30-year-old Verena Petruka were arrested outside of North Battleford by RCMP after stealing the man’s taxi and fleeing the city.
They are already facing 13 other charges, including dangers operation of a motor vehicle, flight from police, assaulting a police officer and theft under five-thousand dollars.
Pinder has also been charged with attempted murder after shooting at police before the two were arrested.
The robbery on April 13th left the 34-year-old taxi driver with serious injuries, his current condition is not known.
