The Everett Silvertips have extended the WHL season and forced it back to Swift Current.
The Western Conference champions needed a win on home ice to keep their season alive and they got it as they took Game 5 with the Broncos by a score of 6-3.
Riley Sutter had a goal and two assists for the winners who will look to force a 7th and deciding game in Swift Current on Sunday night. If a Game 7 is needed it would go on Monday.
The winner moves on to represent the WHL at the Mastercard Memorial Cup which starts next Friday.
Meanwhile, Hamilton and Acadie-Bathurst each took 3-2 leads in the Ontario and Quebec finals and will look to wrap up their respective matchups on Sunday as well.
