It’s just shy of four months since the Sask. Party announced they had elected Scott Moe as the province’s next Premier.
Moe, the MLA for Rosthern-Shellbrook was ready to fill the big shoes left behind by the retired Brad Wall.
While they don’t agree on everything, one thing Moe is ready to do is continue Saskatchewan’s fight against a federally proposed carbon tax, something he is confident they can win in court.
“Yeah we are confident in our position ,” Moe told CKRM.
“We’re looking for a positive position opinion from the Court of Appeal, we’ll see obviously when that comes but we’re confident in the position we have on behalf of the people in this province and I would put forward people in like industries across the nation,” Moe said.
The adjustments haven’t just been political for Moe, who said another big adjustment is the lime light that comes with running the province.
“People now know who you are when you walk down the street, which is new to me,” Moe said.
“It’s great because there is so many great people in this province, I had the opportunity to meet so many during the leadership race. A little bit different in the fact that you now carry the policy and you have so many good cabinet members and caucus members,” Moe added.
