The Saskatchewan Roughriders made several moves in the hours ahead of training camp.
The Riders started with signing the following players:
Defensive linemen Curt Maggitt, Johnny Maxey, Michael McFarland, Jordan Reaves*
Running backs Josh McPhearson, Zac Stacy
Offensive Lineman Marcus Oliver
The Green and White also added Offensive Lineman Logan Ferland as a Territorial Junior. Ferland played with the Regina Thunder last season.
The team wasn’t done there, as the Riders also announced Place Kicker Tyler Crapigna and Fullback Spencer Moore have been moved to the veteran injured list, and Linebacker Kevin Francis has been put on the one-game injured list.
The following players have also been suspended by the team:
Long Snapper Jorgen Hus *
Running back Trent Richardson
Defensive Lineman Eddie Steele *
Also, running back Cameron Marshall has been released by the team.
Marshall was with the Riders last year, and failed a physical the morning of camp due to an injury sustained during a game last season.
The Arizona State product compiled 543 yards on 101 rushes last season.
