Another exciting show is lined up and ready to go for today s well celebrate some country music’s biggest songs for May 31st.

I’ll start the show off with a number 1 from 2008. Brad Paisley went all the way to the top of the Billboard Hot Country songs chart with the 4th single from his 5th Gear album,”I’m Still a Guy.”
21 years to the day Bryan White hit the top of the chart with “Sittin’ on go.”
1995 was a huge year for Shania Twain. She got her first ever gold record certification for the “The Woman in Me” on this day 28 years ago. It included the title track as well as “Any Man of Mine,” and “Who’s Bed Have Your Boots Been Under,” among several others.
A salute to our farmers this afternoon. Thanks for all your hard work and I know you get up every morning and thank God you’re a Country boy. John Denver took his iconic song to number 1 on this day in 1975, beating out Jessie Colter’s “I’m Not Lisa.” It stayed there for 1 week.
Del Reeves topped the country chart with “Girl on the Billboard” on May 31st 1965 and stayed there for two weeks. It was originally just a novelty song but it actually became pretty big for him. The Road Hammers did a remake of it in 2006.
