Statistics Canada has Saskatchewan as the top province for victims of violent crime per capita.
For every 100,000 people, there are 1840 violent crimes involving death or bodily harm.
Other numbers on the stats include over 10,000 people were assault victims with minimal bodily harm, over 400 seriously injured and over 3800 were assaulted with a weapon.
Assaults were the most common type of violent crime.
Those who were threatened or were victims of sexual assault were listed as the the second and third most common.
