The walk for Alzheimers is done in the Queen City.
A walk raising awareness and funds for the disease went in Wascana Lake this past Tuesday
Alzheimers Society of Saskatchewan Events Co-ordinator Angela Klassen said this event has a long history in the province.
“The Alzheimers Society has been doing the walk for over 15 years in Saskatchewan,” she said. “We’ve been growing year after year.”
Klassen also noted this event, like many others, was very well attended, with over 300 people showing up.
“This year was our first year having an outdoor spring walk.”
Klassen also noted the organization is well on it’s way to achieving their fundraising goal of $200,000.
