Fans attending today’s Rider game will experience some traffic hurdles around Mosaic stadium similar to last year.
Traffic will not be allowed on the 1500-1700 blocks of Elphinstone, along with other closures in the general area.
Social Media Officer with Regina Police Tamara Sentes said there were only small changes made from last years game day traffic set up.
“Montague street to 10th Avenue is closed this year as opposed to last year, but the main points are stay safe (…) and no drinking and driving, and no using your phone while driving.”
Sentes said officers are reminding fans to play it safe.
“It is in a residential neighbourhood, so park your vehicles legally, and be mindful where you park in the residential areas,” Sentes said. “Stay off the train tracks, and be mindful of others driving through and all of the pedestrians that come with a big game like this.”
Sentes also encourages fans to use Regina transit before and after the game, which is free of charge.
