Saturday was not only a hot one in Saskatchewan, but in some communities it was a record breaker.
Environment Canada says several places in the province broke the record for the warmest June 9.
The hottest place in Saskatchewan was Leader which hit 34.8 degrees Celsius breaking the old record of 29.6 in 1996. Others to experience records were Swift Current, Shaunavon, Maple Creek, Eastend, Kindersley, North Battleford and Uranium City in the north.
Sunday is expected to be another warm day, but it could be a turbulent day as well as thundershowers are expected followed by a major cool-off as Monday’s high is supposed to be just 19 degrees.
