A livestock market analyst is expecting cattle prices for Saskatchewan producers to be showing downward pressure this year.
Anne Wasko of Cattle Trends bases her outlook on lower U.S. prices, trade uncertainty, and dry weather in the southwest.
But she hopes strong demand will limit the downslide.
She says demand both domestic and offshore has been very strong this year.
But trade uncertainty, particularly with the U.S., remains a key concern.
She speaks Tuesday at the closing of the Saskatchewan Stock Growers convention in Swift Current.
