Lethbridge Hurricanes team captain Jordy Bellerive along wiht teammate Ryan Vandervlis, and former player alumni Matt Alfaro are being treated in hospital for various injuries after what officials are calling an “incident”.
In a statement issued Saturday night, the team says their “focus and priority is on the health of the players injured” and that more information would be provided as it became available.

The 19 year old Bellerive was the Hurricanes captain and is property of the Pittsburgh Penguins. Vandervlis is eligible to be taken in this year’s draft while Alfaro now plays for the University of Calgary.
While it is not known what happened, Global TV Lethbridge is reporting all three were injured in a fire incident at a stag party they were attending on Friday night. One of the three is in critical condition.
