.@jimmyfallon The @FallonTonight team seemed excited to “experience Regina” last night! As Mayor (and a fan) I would love to invite you to @CityofRegina to experience it first-hand, or I could pay you a visit and tell you more. After all, in a way aren’t we all from Regina?

It was a minute and a half portion of the Tonight Show on Tuesday night that sent Regina into a frenzy, including the Mayor.
Jimmy Fallon’s late night talk-show played a portion of the song “experience Regina,” a song and music video originally made as a prank tourism video, getting over 265,000 views since 2008.
Mayor Michael Fougere admitted he’s a big fan of Fallon’s.
“I watch him all the time, I think he’s hilarious, he has a great sense of humour and he’s the best show for late night TV for humour,” Fougere said. “What he was doing a couple of nights ago with Regina was good humour.”
While he has yet to receive an answer from the show or Fallon, Fougere said he’s remaining hopeful.
“It would be nice if I did (receive a response), but I’m holding out hope, he’s a busy guy, he’s two-thirds of a continent away from here, and we’ll see what happens.”
Fougere said the exposure by the Tonight show goes to show people from Regina’s sense of humour and the ability to laugh at ourselves from time to time.
