There’s a good chance you’ll be using more rain gear than sunscreen this long weekend if you’re in the southeast part of Saskatchewan
Environment Canada says Regina and the surrounding area can expect cloudy skies with off and on showers and thunderstorms to help you celebrate Canada Day.
Meteorologist David Baggaley said the lower jet-stream pattern is to blame.
“Well what we have is a jet-stream that would normally be somewhere up across the northern prairies, but it’s actually dipping down closer to the international border. That’s bringing some cooler air along, it’s just the pattern that we’ll be stuck in for the long-weekend and actually into early next week,” he said.
A high of just 19C is expected for the Queen City Friday.
The normal is 25C this time of year.
