After spending his entire NHL career in a Toronto Maple Leafs uniform, Tyler Bozak is now a member of the St. Louis Blues,
The 32-year-old center has signed a three-year, $15 million contract with the club.
He had 43 points (11 goals, 32 assists) for the Leafs last season and in his career has 365 points (136 goals, 229 assists) in 594 NHL games.
In going to St. Louis, Bozak joins fellow Saskatchewan-born players Jaden Schwartz (Wilcox), and Brayden Schenn (Saskatoon).
The Leafs are the big winners in NHL free agency as they landed the big fish. After spending his entire career with the New York Islanders, John Tavares signed a seven-year, $77 million contract with Toronto .
“These past six days have been nothing I could have ever expected,” Tavares wrote on Twitter. “Making the toughest decision of my life: To stay where I have been my entire career or take a calculated leap of faith into an opportunity that I believe will be special to me and my family.”
