Regina’s Chris Kunitz is on the move again.
The 38-year-old has signed a one-year deal to play for the Chicago Blackhawks. Financial details weren’t released.
Kunitz had 29 points (13 goals, 16 assists) in 82 regular-season games with the Tampa Bay Lightning last season after signing a one-year deal with them. Before that, he played nine seasons with the Penguins where he won the Stanley Cup three times.
Signed as an undrafted free agent by the Anaheim Ducks on April 1, 2003, Kunitz has 609 points (263 goals, 346 assists) in 966 NHL games with the Lightning, Penguins, Atlanta Thrashers and Ducks. He has 93 points (27 goals, 66 assists) in 178 playoff games.
Kunitz also won the Stanley Cup with the Ducks in 2007.
