Jaskirat Sidhu, the man charged in the crash that killed 16 people in the Humboldt Broncos bus crash, made his first court appearance in Melfort Tuesday morning.
The 29 year old was released on $1,000 bail with conditions. Those conditions include surrendering his passport, not applying for any travel documents and abiding by a curfew.
He will make another court appearance in August.
Sidhu was behind the wheel of the tractor-trailer unit that slammed into the Broncos bus at the intersection of Highway 35 and 335 near Tisdale as the team was on its way to Nipawin for a game on April 6.
