Country Thunder Saskatchewan gets into full swing Thursday, with performances from Williams & Ree, Clay Walker and Big and Rich on the main stage.
General Manager Kim Blevins, said the grounds are in good shape heading into night one, avoiding all of the major storms seen so far this week.
“We got lucky and got a little bit of rain, nothing serious,” Blevins said. ” The campground held up really well, our water system is working fine, our dugout system, it’s all clearing out that campground quick. Main Street is dry and yeah we’re really looking forward to having people come out today (Thursday),” Blevins added.
Blevins said new this year will be instead of having the kickoff party in the beer gardens, the main stage will be opened.
“Instead of having our kickoff party in the beer gardens we’ve opened the main stage area, so we’re really excited to see Williams & Ree, Clay Walker and Big and Rich on the main stage. That’s new and it’s going to be fun,” she said.
The event wraps up Sunday night with a headline performance from Luke Bryan.
